On the stories we tell ourselves when we look at birds
Thank you for writing about this so beautifully...and the photos.
Having read about the Stellar eagle visit to Massachusetts I confess to thinking it was a male in search of a bald eagle to mate with. You punctured my man cave bubble, need to realize it is now the female that is the pioneer to our uncertain future. Also for me, that Penguin clip was quite disturbing, evolution is disturbing….
Drawing the map as she discovers the territory, maybe.
Love, love, LOVE this piece!!!!! 😀
Thank you, Ty... A truly moving account of your encounter with a "vagrant". Movies may be important but the creatures out there in the wild are even more important. If we don't look, we don't see and then they are gone. Like the little Penquin in Herzog's video they disappear and we aren't even aware that they were there.
Lovely, Ty. Just lovely.
Ty, we keep old Globe newspapers to start the fire with and I found some pieces that weren’t about movies and found myself wishing that you were still at the Globe. This is the next best thing, thank you!
