Anna was also tremendous in the fun twisty thriller A Simple Favor as well.

Have fun at Sundance. We have friends who are there because Cady Coleman, astronaut and mom, is featured in "The Longest Goodbye" as are her husband, Josh Simpson (glass artist) and son. They went out for the premiere yesterday. I know there are lots of movies to see there, but if you see that one, I would love to hear your thoughts on it. (And they are local-ish. Shelburne Falls.)

We seem to be going with the term "actress" here, and I endorse that choice, even if it's too binary for some moderns. Anyway, my very intelligent wife long ago detected that I applied the adjective "intelligent" to actresses whom I found sexy. When she figured this out, I realized that, okay, I was busted, and yet...

There are actors and actresses whose intelligence is inseparable from their sex appeal, and vice-versa. I would submit Anna Kendrick as Exhibit A in this category. She radiates a cleverness that is so innate as to seem carnal.

One facet of Kendrick's career that I think you glossed over is her regular appearances on late night talk shows. Some of the clips of her on various talk shows have garnered millions of views on YouTube, and "anna kendrick interview funny" appears to be a popular search term. It's no wonder: nowhere are Kendrick's talents and her, um, intelligence so evident as when she is speaking off the cuff. Hail Queen Anna. Long may she reign!
