I'll note that, right now, the WGA are asking people to stand with them and raise awareness. I haven't heard yet that they are asking people to cancel streaming. So if anyone is considering this, it might be worth keeping the option in the back pocket in case they ask for it later. Solidarity is following the lead of the union!
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this on another thread, but I watched Where is My Friend’s House largely on your recommendation, and it is so amazing! I’ve seen plenty of Kiorastami but I hadn’t seen this, and it is stunning. The shots at night when the main character is in the friends village walking around and you see the outlines of these intricate windows and architectural patterns in shadow—I’m not describing it well but those shots are otherworldly. I am kind of in awe of that film.
My daughter has come for a visit and we went to see Polite Society. It was so much fun and a great mother/daughter film, maybe not such a good mother/son film. I am glad we were able to see it in a theater.
An embarrassment of riches!

Thank you! Also loved the music in American Honey, and Sasha Lane and Riley Keough. And Andrea Arnold's Fish Tank too!
