Nothing worse than looking forward to a movie with a favorite actor, like Joaquin of Pitt and the movie is bad. Babylon was like sitting through a root canal
I disagree with you about Chevalier, though I did say it's too tame for its subject matter. It's the first movie I could tolerate Harrison in, and the first one I've given a good review to as well. I've been quite vocal in reviews about my disdain for him playing big Black buck stereotypes in garbage movies like "Waves" and "Luce." I also disagree with you about Rachel, Rachel; it's so dull despite my love of Woodward. (Newman's masterpiece as a director is still his Zindel adaptation.) We DO agree on Little Richard. I was on vacation, so I had an excuse to avoid Beau is Afraid. Mark Feeney did that one. He felt like you did.
Thanks for the heads up, the cast is wonderful, I enjoy surrealism and urban decay as much as the next guy, but the 3 1/2 hours and castrating mother put me off…I’m with Beau. This is why I subscribe 😁
I would sort of like to see all of those. too bad I don't like movie theaters anymore, due to the damn reclining, kill my back and legs seats. And even having read bad reviews of Beau is Afraid, it still looks very interesting.
I knew that I’d regret tossing that VHS tape of the 1986 “Transformers The Movie” that I watched repeatedly with my oldest when he was young, never again to hear Eric Idle’s character say, “Offer expires while you wait, operators are standing by.”

What is Netflix doing with its inventory of discs?
