When I was growing up in North Hollywood, California, the polls were in my Living Room. To me, voting was a requirement (unspoken) in order to live in the United States. Since my retirement in 2021, I have worked in my town as an election worker in April and again, I will work next Tuesday. I plan to work every election until I am no longer right-side up.

Seems as if your own memories/experiences are skewing your thoughts on "Armageddon Time" based on the comments in watching the clip.

The whole Substack thing leaves me cold.

Otherwise, generally I love your reviews and comments.

I appreciated the personal background in your review of "Armageddon Time" Ty. For me, it deepened the context of the negative reactions you clearly had to that film. Glad to see you succeeding as your own boss!

We watched Aftersun last night. The young actress who played the daughter was remarkable. I felt like a big part of what made the movie so compelling were the close up shots of her face in scenes with her father, and her extraordinary ability to show her emotions. You don’t know what is wrong with him - is he dying? Is he depressed? - but she senses it and sometimes has to be the adult. It was a lovely performance.
