Your and our rage is wholly appropriate. One of my kids has been physically ill since hearing news of the shooting. How many times must we grieve this way before something changes?
Well said Ty. I wish I didn't completely agree with you. This country is sick, and I'm really starting (or did I already) to think there's not much hope of ever getting away from this evil. Have we gone past the point of no return?
Thank you Ty. Beautifully said, as usual. And as a frequent user of profanity in appropriate circumstances I appreciate your use of it in this totally appropriate circumstance.
Well said. Thank you. These movies are definitely part of the problem. I never watch them but as you said millions of people do and it fuels the problem.
Sadly the imbalance of our political system where 70% favor abortion rights and more than 70% favor back ground checks and restrictions on high capacity weaponry results in an non democratic country as it effects people and policy. The only leverage I see left to us is pressure on business and corporations to effect needed policy change. Leverage on corporate entities and kingpins may be the end around needed? The United States is currently a madhouse; business seeks stability to maximize profits, perhaps that’s where we must look to effect change?
Thank you for making the connections. I felt sick to read some of the reviews that stopped with the visceral excitement incited by the movie. Looking at what war does to veterans, military families, civilians, refugees, and all of us -- I appreciate you and your fine critical sensibilities. And continuing to making these cultural connections -- essential!! Thanks.
Yup
God bless you. Ty. Thanks for allowing yourself to lead with your heart.
That had to be said. And no one could say it better than you.

Thank you, Ty, for saying this better than I ever could. And I will share your post with everyone I know.
Gad you're no longer constrained by the Globe's editorial policies and can speak and write exactly what you want, what needs to be said. Bravo!
Should be sent to all congressmen and Senators

It’s the photos of the kids that really gets to me. They’re all so beautiful. All I can think of is how much promise each of them had.
