I too had no idea that Substack is publishing Nazi propaganda and earning from it. So thank you. But I am puzzled by your reference to journalist Casey Newton: whose platform is he referring to?
Courtney -- I think taking his quote out of context makes it more vague than it should be. Basically he is saying "the correct number of white supremacist newsletters on Substack SHOULD be zero..."
Ah…now it does make sense thank you. BTW I meant to thank you for the play list you came out with around May 2022; I drove around Ireland (prior to attending a wedding at the Adare Manor in Adare) listening to it: it was perfect listening!

Mike, I will wait to see the response from the Substack overlords and then make a decision. I confess that the platform makes things very easy for writers, and my biggest concern is losing subscribers if I make a jump to a new site. But trust that I am researching my options and will act according to my conscience.

I presume the signatories are happy to be public about their condemnation of Substack's providing a welcome platform for Nazis.
