All great films that make ya think. I know you know, but I also want to highlight that Adrienne as a great testament to Adrienne Shelly's talent and the love her husband, family, and friends have for the late talented artist.

Great info on the range of offerings from HBO Max. Just want to clarify that Fred Wiseman didn't direct "Primary" or "Salesman." The first is by Robert Drew, and the second is by the Maysles brothers. But they are stylistically similar to Wiseman's documentaries.

I have HBO and HBO max (which comes free with comcast). For me, the drawback of HBO max is that I can only get it on my comptuer, and not on my "smart" TV, where I much prefer watching movies. It's possible that since I last checked, HBO max will be on the tv screen, too.

Carnival of souls was filmed in Lawrence, KS, where I lived from 1969 to 1974 (I grew up 30 miles west of there in Topeka). There was an "industrial" film company in Lawrence, that mostly made things like training films for GM and things of that nature, but was the facility used to make Canrival of Souls, which really isn't very good, but is interesting. I am really dissapointed with Netflix...when they first started, they had an enormous collection of films. On DVD. You coudl find almost anything. Their catalog has gotten smaller and smaller, and what they have for streaming is really limited.

I loved Eating Raoul! Wickedly funny....related to it, I think are: Parents, another cannibal comedy. WIth Randy Quaid and Sandy Dennis. And the much under appreciated Night Of the Comet that also has Mary Woronov, and is a superb example of sciene fiction, end of the world comedy.
