Sure, no bucks without Buck Rogers, even if the intrepid explorers are humanized robots. Scientists will shamelessly play on taxpayers' motivations in order to get their work funded. We have to keep ahead of the Soviets! And now the Chinese! ISS will prove out space manufacturing! There's platinum in asteroids! There's life on Mars! Scientists have to pitch just as hard as Hollywood screenwriters, just in different language.

In response to your last question, yes, I would still be amazed by simple robots. "It's just a box of wires, right?" Although I agree with that, I've named every car I've owned since my first Dodge Dart in 1968...some male, some female. I wish I had Amazon Prime to view this. But I can still watch My Favorite Martian :)

Ty - looking forward to ‘Oppy’.

Wanted to mention 2 film recommendations of yours which I recently enjoyed over the Thanksgiving weekend with my adult son.

Shiva Baby and Cha Cha Real Smooth are each terrific movies - written, directed and acted by 1st timers (I believe). Two great flicks that reach across generations.

I want to thank you for strongly recommending them.
