Just 13 years ago, I remember seeing The Social Network at the long-closed Harvard Square Theatre, marveling that the story took place across the street.

Very interesting - Odie's perspective on how evil social media is should be something every parent is aware of - and aren't. Now, Ty, what about AI? THAT scares me more than Facebook!

I didn't see The Social Network when it came out bc I thought it might be glorifying the evil that is Mark Zuckerberg, IMO, natch. But with the opportunity to hear you and Odie - who I hadn't heard yet, I decided to hold my nose last night. I really enjoyed your (pl) discussion. And I was screaming a bit, "what about Sean Parker," LOL. Computers/the Internet had evolved to a certain point that there were great opportunities to monetize much of what we'd been getting for free. It took a few visionaries to take it to another level, like the Zuck who helped create the new big 3 - Google, Yahoo and Facebook/Meta (Microsoft? Amazon? Musky? - you decide lol) which have gobbled up most of their competition to fit under their respective umbrellas. Odie I loved your point on whether the last line by Rashida Jones was necessary. It was a weasel move by Sorkin, to try to show that Zuck was a good guy. I'd have like her slam of him by showing him that with all his brilliance, there are realms where he was completely ignorant - like LAW bc he lacked a soul. I'm being too hahd on him. hehe. Also this concept of opportunity to become masters of the universe of, PLASTICS!!! How'd that work at for that investor? Ouch. Great stuff by you guys. Thanks.
