Have to add that Will Poulter is an actor who suddenly started popping up everywhere for me this summer: on The Bear, Dopesick (which we just finished streaming) and in "We're the Millers" (guilty goofy vacation week comedy). His face is like something out of Leave it to Beaver - I keep expecting him to put on a Davy Crockett hat. But he's great. And more trivia: child actor Christian Bale has a scene in Kenneth Branagh's "Henry V."
Wow, what a tempting feast of things you are giving us this week. Can't wait to dive in! I am looking forward especially to what you have to say about Robbie Robertson. Cheers!
yes, I much enjoyed Inside Man. I didn't know it was Spike Lee's biggest (somehow, that doesn't seem quite right to me)....Another unconventional heist movie (in a very different way) that I am totally fond of is David Mamet's "Heist". I've got a big interest in all things Mamet, despite the fact that his politics are far from in line with mine (so I hear). Am I mixed up, or were you recently talking about Alan Arkin: I just saw "The In Laws". It was SO fun....especially seeing Arkin's exasperation!
I love this film. It holds your attention and makes you think, but not too much, and is re-watchable without losing any of its fizzy enjoyment.. Plus, you know, Spike Lee. Denzel. Clive. C'mon!
You cannot try to critique a film like this from an intellectual slant. No, a film like this; you just lean it and enjoy it.
Another episode enjoyed. The deeper dive the watch cast provides has made it something I always look forward to. I am loving the classics of the new millennium series. It has had a few surprises but no disappointments for me. I would love to see you and your guests talk about established classics as well from Casablanca to Fight Club.

fyi - the link to the Oppenheimer article is not working - or rather - there's a paywall though you said it was free!

I would listen to Wesley and Ty talk about anything and come away entertained and enlightened.
