But because I think you and I experienced a similar struggle with our dislike of the movie. I took a week to write mine and sent it to several readers before publishing with a few questions: "am I just not getting it? Is there a cultural component I can't account for? Is that the movie's fault, if there is a cultural component and I'm not picking up on it?" It's difficult to parse the unspoken "why" of not liking a movie, and I think you handled that challenge with aplomb here.
I haven’t seen season two yet but I don’t understand the appeal of White Lotus. Which isn’t to say I didn’t watch the first round and will probably watch the second. But season one felt over the top with everyone and the whole story line. The death felt unbelievable. Is that the point of this show? Not even Jennifer Coolidge could save it for me, just like Maggie Smith couldn’t save Downton Abby. Ugh. If I’m going to watch wealthy people behave badly I’ll stick to Succession.

Actually yours is the second negative review I've seen of Armageddon Time. The trailer looked good, but you were convincing.
