I do like to watch… which I assume includes reading. Just finished James Ross They Don’t Dance Much… (orig. pub. 1940) simply masterful southern noir… do you know it? The Coen Bros. could really have some fun with it…
Ty I had forgotten about “Being There”. And that scene with Shirley McLaine. When Mr. Roark went around the room on the first day of ninth grade (fourth class?) asking what three books from the same author that we had read over the summer per school instruction and I replied “Being There”, “The Painted Bird” and “Steps” by Jerzy Kosinski, he just kind of swallowed hard and moved to the next kid. I think he was a little repressed.
